This beautiful and intricate crucifix was created in France circa 1880. Coming from a small catholic chapel in France and built of brass, the cross stands on three small curved acanthus leaf from feet over a scalloped apron. The tripod base is decorated on all three sides with the Lord figure standing inside an alcove. The stem is embellished with the Trinity, and Christ is represented hung on the cross surrounded with floral motifs. The tall religious item is in excellent condition and adorns a rich patinated brass finish.
