Ariel Winter is best known for portraying Alex Dunphy on ABC’s Modern Family. Winter and her costars won four consecutive SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series from 2011 to 2014. Winter has also provided the voices of Gretchen in Phineas and Ferb, Sofia in Sofia the First and Penny Peterson in the 2014 film Mr. Peabody and Sherman. The actress made headlines in 2016 after publicly announcing that she was officially emancipated from her mother at the age of 17. Winter’s sister, Shanelle Workman, was granted guardianship in 2014 after previously alleging that their mother was physically and emotionally abusive. Winter sparked a romance with Luke Benward in 2020. She previously dated Laurent Claude Gaudette for over two years until 2016 and dated Levi Meaden, who was 11 years her senior, for nearly three years before calling it quits in 2019.
