The Chaparral 2J, also known as the sucker car, was a unique and innovative race car that made its debut in the 1970 Can-Am season. The car was designed by Jim Hall, the owner of the Chaparral Cars team, and it featured a radical aerodynamic design that included two fans mounted at the rear of the car that sucked air from underneath the car, creating downforce. The fans were powered by a two-stroke engine and were the first of their kind in motorsports.
