Vintage Jacket Extreme Cold Weather Impermeable Military Forest Service Jacket Mens Size Large 42-44 Size: 42-44 Large Maker: Unknown but similar to Golden Fleece and the tag reads "Extreme Cold Weather Impermeable" Fabric: There is no fabric content tag but it feels like a heavy duty nylon and is shiny (ripstop?) The inside lining is quilted and attached to the outer layer. Inside of the outer layer feels like it might be waterproof. Scovall metal zipper. Loop button at the neck. There is a strap with a metal snap on the back of the neck. I am not sure what this is for. The collar is dark brown corduroy. This jacket is very heavy! The label states that it is insulated with plastic foam and provides emergency buoyancy. but not to use it as a life preserver. Condition: Excellent! There is still a partial paper tag attached to one of the underarms. Other: When I found this jacket, there was a Forest Service booklet in one of the pockets that looked like it belonged to a worker to record information in. I don't know what I did with the booklet. I do live in a military town so this may have been military issue back in the day. All items are measured lying flat. Shoulders: 20.5" across Underarms: 24" across or 48" around Sleeves: 25" from the shoulder seam to end of cuff; 20" from the underarm to end of cuff Total length: 29.5" from the bottom of the neck down in back
