This is a very rare piece that is extremely hard to find Couture Pierre Balmain piece. This is a full underdress/ foundation garment meant to wear under an exterior dress. Its base is constructed and made as well as you would expect from a proper cocktail dress! The inner layer of fabric is a ribbed grosgrain like silk and this is covered in the layers of netting - all in the perfect off white. It is strapless and boned through the bodice and the tulle at the bottom is finished with horsehair ribbon to give it structure. This would be the perfect something old under a cocktail length wedding dress and to the collector is invaluable. Excellent condition. Item# DD840
