Description!
The 5k will kick off the New Kensington Fitness Festival. Come prepared to participate in the 5k and stay after for a ton more fun, healthy activities and food. The festival is happening in downtown New Kensington where it is really starting to shine once again. Tons of new Businesses are popping up all the time and pedestrian traffic has picked up substantially. Come and see what the buzz is about. Bring a few sets of clothes to enjoy all the activities. Watch for all the exciting things and schedule of events for the Fitness Festival which will be coming soon.
The course has you run around the downtown area up then down several different streets all thru the newer redeveloped business area. There are a few turns along the course. The turns have you weaving away from the start line area before making one big loop bringing you back to the finish line area which will be like 30 feet from the start line.
