Vintage Wolfard glass oil lamp, circa 1980s, still in original packaging.
Measures 9" tall x 3-3/4" diameter
This distinctive oil lamp was a part of Whitney Museum of American Art's exhibition, "High Styles: 20th Century American Design".
The Wolfard Oil Lamp is hand-blown from borosilicate glass (known for its strength and clarity) using an exclusive "in-flame" glassblowing technique which requires higher temperatures than other art glass methods. The oil is poured into the reservoir from the side.
"Gift receipt" affixed to top of box.
Funnel, wick, and instruction sheet included.
A beautiful testament to timeless design.
